The City has developed its first Corporate Strategic Plan, a foundational document that outlines a long‑term vision for Pickering and sets out the goals, priorities, and key actions that will guide decision‑making over this term of Council and into the future. The Economic Development & Strategic Projects department plays a central role in advancing the initiatives identified in the Strategic Plan. The team leads and supports major projects that influence the community’s growth and long-term economic prosperity. These initiatives span a wide range of areas, including infrastructure improvements, transportation planning, energy efforts, land development, and the creation of new employment opportunities.
